COMME DES GARÇONS × THE ROLLING STONES — TROUSER PANTS 2005
In 2005, Comme Des Garçons Homme released a full collaborative collection with The Rolling Stones. The project fused the Stones' iconic tongue-and-mouth graphic into classic suiting, tees, and accessories—merging post-war British tailoring codes with raw rock and roll energy.
Unlike typical band merchandise, the collaboration didn’t rely on nostalgia. It framed the Stones’ cultural imprint as a design language in itself: unapologetic, abrasive, and permanent.
"It's only rock 'n roll but I like it." — The Rolling Stones
These trousers represent the tension at the center of the project: structure versus rebellion, tradition versus distortion.
The kind of clash that leaves a permanent mark.
